"SCHOLARSHIPS" Grant

About the "SCHOLARSHIPS" Grant

  1. The special “Scholarships” grant (hereinafter referred to as the special grant) is awarded to the most talented students of the International Educational Corporation (hereinafter referred to as IEC) who are enrolled on a paid basis but, due to various circumstances (family situation, health conditions, financial difficulties, etc.), are unable to cover the cost of their education. 
  2. The special grant provides either a 100% or 50% tuition discount. Eligible applicants must be citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan enrolled in full-time undergraduate programs, with no academic debts, retakes, or an FX grade in their most recent examination session (including practical exam results). 
  3. The special grant is awarded for one academic semester to full-time students. 
  4. Students may receive the special grant consecutively, but for no more than two times. 

5. A key requirement for receiving the special grant is excellent academic performance. 

6. Applicants must submit a formal request addressed to the IEC Rector using the approved application form (Appendix 1), stating their financial difficulties. The application must be accompanied by the required supporting documents, as specified in the application form for the competition. 

Applications must be submitted online via IPORTAL (electronic cabinet – “SCHOLARSHIPS”) from January 16 to January 18, 2024.

List of Required Documents

Mandatory Documents: 

  1. A salary certificate specifying deductions for the past six months, issued in accordance with accounting software (1C-Accounting/Payroll). 
  2. A certificate of zero income from the Public Service Center (PSC) if the applicant is temporarily unemployed. 
  3. Copies of identity documents and birth certificates of family members (to determine family composition). 
  4. A certificate of income (monthly pension payments) from the PSC (“Government for Citizens” NJSC) if the parents are retirees. 

Additional Documents (if applicable): 

  1. Disability certificate (if applicable to a family member). 
  2. Parents’ pension certificate.
  3. Certificate of loss of work capacity or temporary incapacity for work of the parents. 
  4. Court ruling on alimony payments. 
  5. Death certificate of a parent. 
  6. Divorce certificate/court ruling on parental divorce. 
  7. Marriage certificate of the applicant. 
  8. Certificate of a mother of multiple children, “Altyn Alka” award. 
  9. Marriage certificate (in case of a parent’s remarriage or name change). 
  10. Stepparent’s income certificate.
  11. Certificate from an orphanage, boarding school, etc.
  12. Parental waiver statement.
  13. Court ruling on parental rights deprivation.
  14. Certificate of survivor’s benefits. 

Applications without the mandatory documents will not be considered. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be reviewed. Applications from students who do not meet the required academic criteria (A, A-) will not be considered.
