Main Functions of the Academic Council:

The Academic Council of the International Educational Corporation is the highest collegial governing body of the corporation
The activities of the IEC Academic Council are based on transparency and collective discussion of matters within its competence
The responsibilities of the Academic Council include defining the development strategy of the corporation approving the structure and main subdivisions resolving key issues related to educational scientific and economic activities hearing reports from department heads controlling financial and economic activities approving educational materials appointing scientific supervisors determining the procedure for the use of extrabudgetary funds awarding honorary titles and scholarships considering matters that require collegial decision-making

Key Areas of Activity of the Academic Council

The Academic Council approves topics and scientific supervisors for dissertation research of master’s and doctoral students, monitors financial and economic activities, determines the use of extrabudgetary funds and reinvestment of income from educational services and products
Its responsibilities include awarding honorary titles, scholarships, and prizes, as well as nominating staff and creative teams for awards
Other current issues requiring collegial decision-making are also considered

Structure, Functions, and Organization of the Academic Council's Work

Decisions made by the Academic Council primarily concern the organization of educational, research, and financial-economic activities of the corporation’s structural units

The composition of the Academic Council is elected for a term of 3 years, consists of an odd number of members, and is approved by the order of the Rector
It includes the Rector, Vice-Rectors, Deans of Faculties, Heads of structural units, representatives of the faculty, student body, and public organizations

The Academic Council organizes its work based on an approved plan for the academic year
Council meetings are held according to an approved schedule at least once a month
