Brief History of the Faculty

The formation of the faculty began in the 1950s with the training of construction specialists at the Kazakh Mining and Metallurgical Institute, later continuing at the V.I. Lenin Kazakh Polytechnic Institute. This was one of the most essential and long-established specialties in the country. Over the years, the Faculty of General Construction has played a key role in educating highly qualified civil engineers for Kazakhstan.

Проектировать здания и сооружения различного назначения с учетом требований экологии и безопасности жизнедеятельности с использованием систем автоматизированного проектирования и инновационных технологий.            Выполнять расчеты на несущую способность, прочность и жесткость, определять напряженно-деформированное состояние, определять напряжения, перемещения, создавать расчетные схемы с учетом вида строительных материалов и их физических характеристик.Демонстрировать знания профессиональным казахским (русским) и иностранным языками в объеме, необходимом для бытового и профессионального общения, ведения деловой переписки и делопроизводства с использованием специальной профессиональной и научной терминологии.            Использовать средства инженерной графики, визуализации данных, расчета конструкций и 3D-моделирования, для отображения строительного замысла            Демонстрировать знания по организации и управлению производственными процессами при возведении зданий и сооружений различного назначенияПодготавливать проект производства работ, проект организации строительства и другую  техническую документацию на производство строительно-монтажных работ

This dual degree program is aimed at training highly qualified specialists equipped with professional competencies and practical skills in the structural analysis and design of various types of buildings and facilities — residential, industrial, and military.
Graduates will be capable of effective interdisciplinary communication in the field of design and construction, and will be able to apply advanced technologies, including BIM (Building Information Modeling), to solve complex design challenges.
