Brief History of the Faculty

Kazakh-American University (KAU) is a unique institution that integrates the best traditions of the Soviet and American education systems. The idea of establishing a university based on a synthesis of American and Kazakhstani academic programs was conceived by Amirlan Aidarbekovich Kusainov, the founder and President of KAU.  

In 1997, the only university offering English-language instruction in Kazakhstan was KIMEP, which at that time did not have a bachelor’s degree program.

This program offers students the opportunity to study the fundamentals of finance, data analysis, human resource management, legal aspects of business, as well as the analysis of financial statements, accounting and taxation for small, medium, and large businesses, internal audits of organizations, and audits of government agencies.

Students will also develop communication skills to establish partnerships, attract investments, and create a strong brand. An important component of the program is the opportunity to start their own business within the framework of the student incubator.
