Electronic Library

Dear Readers!

The Electronic Document Delivery Service (hereinafter referred to as EDD) allows you to request an electronic copy of printed materials (articles from periodicals and excerpts from books) from library collections. 

This service is provided in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Copyright and Related Rights” dated June 10, 1996, No. 6-1 (with amendments and additions as of July 10, 2009) and international copyright legislation. 

Order Processing and Terms 

  • Bibliographic details of the required documents can be found using the library’s electronic catalog. 
  • Once a request is received and the availability of the requested document is confirmed, the requester will be notified about the possibility of order fulfillment. 
  • The requester must confirm or cancel the order. 

EDD from the Library’s collection is provided free of charge.

The following links will be helpful for students in conducting research and finding new academic information. 

Polpred.com – Media Review (Open Access)

A manually curated archive of key publications. The database includes: 26 industries, 600 sources, 8 federal districts of Russia, 235 countries and territories. Major articles and interviews with 3,000 top executives. Daily updates with 1,000 news items, full texts in Russian. A collection of the best business press and news agency articles over the past 15 years. Features include advanced search settings, batch export of hundreds of articles to Word with a single click, and industry- and country-specific online services. 

Access: 
Available from all library computers and the university’s internal network. Users can also register independently for remote access. The “Home Access” link in the upper-right corner of Polpred.com is accessible from the university library’s IP addresses. 

Access Conditions: 
The resource can be accessed from any university computer connected to the Internet via the university’s IP addresses. 

scopus

Scopus

Scopus is a bibliographic and abstract database and a tool for tracking article citations in scientific journals. It indexes over 21,000 titles of scientific, technical, and medical journals from approximately 5,000 international publishers. Scopus provides unparalleled support in searching for academic publications and offers links to abstracts of a vast number of available articles. The database is developed and owned by the publishing corporation Elsevier.

Available from any university computer connected to the Internet via the university’s IP addresses. 

Thomson Reuters (Licensed Access)

Web of Science is a comprehensive research resource that allows users not only to obtain a list of literature on a specific topic but also to track the citation index of individual articles and authors. A key feature of Web of Science is its extensive citation archive. 

Search results are presented in both interactive text and graphical formats, making it a convenient and user-friendly tool. The Web of Science® databases include information on publications from over 9,300 journals worldwide and provide links to full-text sources.

Republican Interuniversity Electronic Library

The Republican Interuniversity Electronic Library (RIEL) is a unified database that consolidates the electronic resources of Kazakhstan’s universities. It provides faculty, undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students with access to modern educational and informational resources. 

KazNEB

The Kazakhstan National Electronic Library (KazNEB) is a catalog of the national electronic library fund and a unified digital repository of book copies, including both depository and user-accessible collections. Currently, 47,553 electronic copies are available.

IPRbooks

The IPRbooks Electronic Library System provides access to electronic books, periodicals, audio and video materials, online tests, and educational literature. It also includes an adapted technology for inclusive education. 

EBSCO

EBSCO is a comprehensive electronic library system that offers access to an extensive collection of scientific and academic resources, including journals, e-books, and research materials.  

DATALIB.RU

The DATALIB.RU platform is an educational resource that provides full-text access to a unique collection of learning materials on digital technologies. It serves as a key source of knowledge for developing universal competencies in the digital economy within Russian educational institutions. Additionally, it is a tool for designing digital disciplines and smart courses. 

PROFобразование

The PROFобразование Digital Educational Resource provides access to exclusive specialized electronic textbooks and periodicals for various fields of study. This platform helps students acquire essential knowledge, prepare for lessons, seminars, tests, and exams, and complete assignments and projects. Educators can use it to develop curricula, conduct lessons, and stay updated on new academic publications. 

EBSCO Database

As of February 1, 2022, the Scientific Library of IEC has subscribed to the EBSCO scientific and educational database. Authorized users can access the database from any internet-connected device, both on and off university premises.

After registration, you can request the necessary literature and receive it via email in PDF format.
