On May 16, 2025, a delegation from one of the United Kingdom’s leading institutions — the University of Exeter, a member of the prestigious Russell Group of research universities — visited the International educational corporation (KazGASA).

The delegation included:

  • Professor Stuart Bearhop – Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Global Engagement;

  • Rachel Jones – Head of Global Partnerships, Faculty of Environment, Science and Economy.

As part of the visit, the guests were introduced to the infrastructure of the Corporation, toured the renovated academic building, visited the museum, modern laboratories, and lecture halls. A formal meeting was also held between representatives of the University of Exeter and the leadership of the Corporation.

During the discussions, the parties addressed key priorities in the development of science and education in the region, as well as opportunities for engaging international partners in the implementation of industrial and educational projects.

The UK side expressed interest in establishing cooperation in the fields of business, information technology, and mining, and in launching joint academic programs.

Special attention was given to topics such as the expansion of academic mobility for students and faculty, implementation of joint research initiatives, development of dual-degree programs, organization of internships, and prospects for opening a branch campus.

The visit marked an important step toward strengthening the Corporation’s international cooperation and opened up new opportunities for integration into the global academic community.
