On July 8-9, 2025, the International Educational Corporation (KazGASA) welcomed a delegation from Aeres Group – one of the leading educational organizations of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the field of agricultural and technical education – along with the CEO of Verum Agro. The visit was organized within the framework of strengthening international academic cooperation and advancing agricultural education in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The delegation included Aeres Group CEO Rien Komen, Agricultural Advisor to the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Kazakhstan Ari Veldhuizen, and Aeres representatives Ard Sonneveld and Teus Korevaar. The roundtable was moderated by Ronald Voogdt (IEC).

On July 8, the delegates toured the updated academic building of KazGASA, including specialized laboratories and classrooms, and were introduced to the university’s educational programs and technical infrastructure.

On July 9, an international roundtable took place with the participation of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of IEC, Aigazy Kusainov Amirlanovich, the leadership of Aeres Group, and representatives of leading agro-industrial companies in Kazakhstan. The central topic of the discussion was the sustainable development of the agricultural sector, workforce training, and the integration of modern educational models.

The parties discussed key industry challenges, including the shortage of qualified specialists, the dominance of extensive production models, and the lack of practice-oriented internships. Particular attention was given to the initiative of establishing an international agrotechnical college capable of training a new generation of specialists.

As a result of the event, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between KazGASA and Aeres Group. The memorandum outlines a strategic partnership in the field of agricultural education, including joint development of academic programs, knowledge exchange, and the involvement of international experts in the training of professionals for the agro-industry.
