From December 5 to 7, 2024, a group of professors from the Faculty of Architecture at IEC (KazGASA) visited the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction (AzUAC) in Baku.
AzUAC is the only school in the post-Soviet space accredited by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), which is the highest recognition of achievements in architectural education.
During the two-day visit, the IEC delegation – Dr. Arch. Abdrasilova G.S., Ph.D. in Arch. Iskhodzhanova G.R., and Dr. Arch. Glaudinova M.B. – held working meetings with the leadership of AzUAC, including vice-rectors, deans, and department heads. They reviewed academic documents, the requirements for professional disciplines, and the organization of the educational process.
The IEC professors expressed special gratitude to AzUAC Rector Gulchohra Mamedova, Dean Zahida Mamedova, and Professor Shahla Kahramanova for their warm welcome and fruitful collaboration.
This visit marked an important milestone in the longstanding partnership between the two leading architectural institutions of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan. It is anticipated that the collaboration between AzUAC and IEC (KazGASA) will continue to develop in various directions.
