The Faculty of Architecture at the International educational corporation (KazGASA) now hosts a new exhibition dedicated to the monuments of Kazakhstan’s vernacular architecture. This visual display was created to promote the country’s rich cultural heritage and draw the attention of a wide audience, including professionals, to these unique monuments.
A special feature of the exhibition is the materials collected during decades of research by Doctor of Architecture Eskander Muslimovich Baitenov. Over the past 40 years, he has organized numerous expeditions that led to the discovery, study, and introduction into scientific discourse of hundreds of previously unknown monuments of Kazakhstan’s vernacular architecture, ranging from the early Middle Ages (ancient Turkic period) to the early 20th century.
This exhibition stand is the result of years of dedicated work by the corporation’s professors and researchers, committed to preserving and passing on the unique heritage of Kazakh architecture to future generations.
