Architectural Breakfast

On December 18, 2024, the “Architectural Breakfast” was held, a meeting of leaders of architectural firms within the framework of the Union of Architects of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The participants discussed several pressing issues related to the effective management of architectural offices.

A fifth-year student from the International Educational Corporation (KazGASA), Nurbek Zhusupov, was invited to the meeting. He earned first place in the student project competition dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Nurbek had the unique opportunity to network with the heads of major architectural companies and gain invaluable project experience.

The event was sponsored by the German company Hefele, specializing in transformable spaces.

A British School with a 400-Year History to open in Almaty

On December 12-13, 2024, the International educational corporation (IEC) hosted the official visit of Andrew Turner, the Deputy Head of Charterhouse School (United Kingdom). During his visit, Mr. Turner explored the corporation’s infrastructure, including modern laboratories, academic buildings, and schools.

The main purpose of the visit was to discuss the opening of the first Charterhouse school in Central Asia, to be established in Almaty. IEC will act as a partner in creating this world-class educational institution.

Charterhouse School Almaty will become the first branch of one of the oldest and most prestigious schools in the United Kingdom in Central Asia. The school is scheduled to welcome its first students in September 2026.

The school will combine the best of British educational traditions with the rich cultural heritage of Kazakhstan. The curriculum will fully adhere to British standards while placing special emphasis on the study of the Kazakh language, literature, and history. Approximately 80% of the teaching staff will be from the United Kingdom.

Charterhouse Almaty will be more than just an educational institution; it will serve as a hub of inspiration where the leaders of tomorrow will emerge and thrive, shaping the future of society.



IEC Faculty Members Receive Union of Architects Membership Cards

On December 17, 2024, in honor of the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the International educational corporation (KazGASA) welcomed a delegation from the Union of Architects of Kazakhstan, led by the Union’s President, G.S. Sadyrbayev.

During the official ceremony, the President of the Union of Architects of the Republic of Kazakhstan presented certificates of appreciation to 11 active members of the Union for their professional achievements and contributions. Additionally, 13 faculty members of IEC (KazGASA) were officially admitted to the Union of Architects and received their membership cards. This event was a significant acknowledgment of their professional contributions to the development of architectural education and project activities.

Moreover, the delegation of the Union of Architects evaluated the student projects presented during the event. The best works were awarded certificates of merit.

Cooperation Between IEC and the Turkish Company “Teknik Destek Grubu”

On December 12, the International educational corporation was visited by representatives of the Turkish company “Teknik Destek Grubu”, specializing in earthquake-resistant construction and seismic isolation of buildings. The delegation was led by Ms. Tijen Ekinci and Mr. Eren Aydin.

During the visit, the guests were introduced to the corporation’s infrastructure, including modern laboratories and the new academic building. Additionally, the company representatives conducted a guest lecture for students and faculty members, sharing their expertise and knowledge in the field of earthquake-resistant construction.

The key event of the visit was the signing of a memorandum of trilateral cooperation between IEC, LLP “Alumen Systems”, and “Teknik Destek Grubu”. The agreement aims to create synergy in the fields of earthquake-resistant construction and seismic isolation of buildings and structures, as well as to ensure support and active collaboration among the parties to promote educational, scientific, and industrial potential.

Results of the ECO-2024 Contest at IEC

On December 12, 2024, the International educational corporation concluded the ECO-2024 contests, “EcoSvet” and “EcoQuiz,” organized by the Faculties of Design and Construction Technologies, Infrastructure, and Management.

Participants showcased unique eco-friendly lighting fixtures made from recycled materials and original projects aimed at improving environmental sustainability to the guests of the event.

The winners were awarded special prizes from the sponsors: LLP Yesset, LLP “YUNG Central Asia,” and the Svet.kz salon network.

IEC Supported the “Jumart Jurek” society

On the eve of the New Year holidays, IEC students continue their charitable initiatives. Thanks to the funds raised and directed to aid, children received gifts and sponsorship support, making their upcoming celebrations more joyful and memorable. Such actions not only provide assistance to those in need but also inspire others to participate in charity, fostering a kinder and more inclusive society.

The “Jumart Jurek” Society expressed its sincere gratitude to the International Educational Corporation, presented a letter of appreciation to the rector, and highlighted the importance of the work done, as well as the care and involvement shown by students and faculty members.

Students of IEC visited the creative center “ARDI ART”

On December 5, students of the International educational corporation visited the creative center “Ardi Art.”
Funds raised by students during a charity fair organized on Student’s Day were directed to provide sponsorship support for children with disabilities ahead of the New Year holidays.

As part of the visit, the students prepared a rich program, including a dombra performance, musical acts, an animation show, and the presentation of gift certificates. These activities served as a bright expression of care and support extended to the children during this special time.

The “Jumart Jurek” organization expressed gratitude to the International educational corporation by presenting a letter of appreciation to the rector, emphasizing the significance of the work done and the genuine care demonstrated by the students and faculty towards people with disabilities.

IEC Donates 10 Million Tenge to the QAZAQ TILI Endowment Fund

The International educational corporation has contributed 10 million tenge to the QAZAQ TILI Endowment Fund, which focuses on supporting the Kazakh language. These funds will be used to implement projects aimed at promoting the development of the Kazakh language. Earlier, on December 7, 2023, the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, was the first to contribute, donating 7 million tenge from his personal funds.

We share the vision of the Head of State regarding the importance of sustainable and long-term development of the ‘Qazaq tili’ initiative. The Kazakh language is the foundation of our national identity and spiritual heritage. Promoting and developing the state language is our responsibility to society. YPO Chairman visits IEC

On December 5, 2024, the International educational corporation welcomed YPO Chairman and President of the Public Association “International Kazakh Language Fund,” Rauan Kenzhekhanuly, for a guest lecture.
During his visit, he explored the corporation’s infrastructure, including state-of-the-art laboratories and the new academic building. He also delivered a lecture for students and faculty, sharing his experience in managing large-scale projects, emphasizing the importance of language in shaping national identity, and addressing pressing issues of leadership and public service.
