A brief history of the faculty

In the first years after the opening of the AASI, the Faculty of Technology was established and in 2006 it was renamed the Faculty of Construction Technologies, Infrastructure and Management. Since its foundation, for many years, the deans of the faculty have been, respectively, Academician of the IA RK, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Saibulatov S.Zh and Doctor of Economics Adilov Zh.M. The FSTIM includes specialties: PSMIK, TDO, Economics, Accounting and Auditing, Management. Since 2006, the faculty has been headed by Associate Professor, Candidate of Technical Sciences, A.S. Espaeva. From September 2013 to 2017, the faculty was headed by Ph.D. in Economics, Associate Professor. D.A. Adilova (currently Vice President of the IOC). From September 2017 to December 2018, the faculty was headed by Ph.D., Associate Professor. Omirzhanova J.T. Since January 2019, the dean of the faculty is Ph.D., Associate Professor. Estemesova A.S. Currently, the faculty conducts training in six bachelor's degree specialties, six master's degree specialties and three doctoral specialties.

News of the Department of Geodesy and Cartography, Cadastre

An off-site educational lecture was organized for 3rd year students of the educational program “Geodesy and Cartography” of the Faculty of Construction Technologies, Infrastructure and Management on September 23, 2024 at the observatory of the V.G. Fesenkov Astrophysical Institute (AFIF).

On 11/18/2023, Workshops were organized within the framework of the international seminar “GIS Day Kazakhstan”. Teachers and students were trained on the topics: “How neural networks, remote sensing data, ready-made Esri geodata and ArcGIS tools can help in your application projects”, “Geospatial analysis using Google Earth Enqine and Google Cloud Platform”. The seminar was held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University

        Congratulations to Kartbayeva Kuralai Turzhanovna, Assistant Professor of the Department of Geodesy and Cartography, Cadastre, Faculty of Construction Technologies and Management, on successfully defending her PhD degree in the specialty 8D07302 – “Geodesy”. The defense took place on March 12, 2024 at the Kazatu named after S. Seifullin in Astana.

05/24/2023 IOC Awards 2023 competition “the best organization of the year “Qap-Qara”. Students of the GiK- 21-2 group Nurbolatov Zhenisbek and Kyraubaev Aulet who participated in the competition received the prizes “Best organization of the Year” and “Best project of the year”

On February 20-21, the intra-university Olympiad in Geodesy and Cartography was held among 2nd year students of GiK-22-1 and GiK-22-2. The Olympiad consisted of 3 stages, where students’ knowledge in 3 disciplines is evaluated: Geodesy, Cartography and Photogrammetry.

        The selection round for Geodesy was conducted in the format of testing in the “Socrative” program via phone.

          The cartography selection round was conducted in the form of computational and graphical work in the ArcGIS software, where students demonstrate the skills of creating a relief map through SRTM.

On February 13, 2024, Ekaterina Igitova, sales manager of Geokurs LLP, conducted a demonstration of the Trimble S5 robotic total station and Trimble C5 total station to students of the GiK-22-1 and GiK-22-2 IOC groups, she showed the principle of operation of each total station, the capabilities and advantages of these devices.

07.12.2023 on the basis of the IOC, the representative of Geo Master A. Shchekuteev Alexander Yergalievich held a master class “Geodetic GPS receiver SOUTH GALAXY G7 TRIMBLE: acquaintance, principles of operation” for 2nd and 3rd year students of the Department of “GCC” specialty “Geodesy and cartography” and “Cadastre”.

During the master class, the students were familiarized with the working conditions and were able to assess the quality of the latest digital devices in operation

08.12.2023 on the basis of the IOC, a representative of Geo Master A. LLP, Adilzhanov Ikram Adilzhanovich, presented a master class on the topic “Modern geodetic instruments Total station NTS362R6L SOUTH GALAXY G7” for 2nd and 3rd year students of the SCC department of the specialty “Geodesy and Cartography” and “Cadastre”. The students completed practical work related to geodetic measurements and processing of the received data

On November 7, 2023, a meeting of graduates of previous years was held by A. Redko (Descartes Engineering LLP) and M. Gilyazov (GeoData Plus LLP) with students of the 3rd and 4th courses of the specialty “Geodesy and Cartography”. During the meeting, representatives of the company held an introductory lecture and a master class on working with the “Fantom 4” drone. After that, the results of aerial photography were processed. During the meeting, career guidance work was carried out with students.

A brief description of each Educational program

The purpose of the educational program 6B07501 “Cadastre” is to prepare graduates as a competitive specialist in the field of land management and cadastre, possessing critical thinking, able to use theoretical and practical information to perform land management and cadastral works in the field of land and real estate monitoring, cadastral and economic assessment of lands and other real estate objects, and the regulatory framework for the development of projects.

General professional geodetic, cartographic, cadastral preparation and GIS in land relations, specialized satellite observations and cadastral valuation of real estate

Objects of professional activity:

1) land resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan of all categories, types and forms of ownership and use;

Образовательная программа 6В07371 – «Геодезия и картография» позволяет подготовить квалифицированных специалистов, готовых работать в картографо-геодезических предприятиях, а также в строительных компаниях, нефтегазовой, геологоразведочной и других отраслях народного хозяйства.

После завершения образовательной программы специалист по геодезии и картографии занимается сбором, обобщением и анализом полученной геодезической и аэрокосмической информации; ставит цели и выбирает пути для её достижения, используя современные методы научных исследований; владеет основными методами, способами и средствами получения информации об объекте; имеет навыки работы с компьютером как средством хранения, переработки и управления информацией, используя программные продукты.

Конечная цель — качественная подготовка специалистов в области геодезии и картографии, способных использовать научную информацию для анализа и решения профессиональных задач в сфере территориального развития и картографирования, строительства и инженерных изысканий, управления природными ресурсами с помощью современных методов и технологий.

Образовательная программа «Экономика и менеджмент в строительстве» направлена на подготовку высококвалифицированных специалистов обладающие знаниями и компетенциями  достаточными для успешной деятельности в организациях строительной отрасли, способных обеспечить предпринимательское видение в условиях  развития цифровой экономики, владеющими современными методами количественного и качественного анализа, готовых моделировать бизнес процессы. Планировать и организовывать исследовательские инновационные проекты. Бакалавры данной программы обладают всеми необходимыми знаниями и практическими навыками для квалифицированной работы в качестве руководителя среднего и высшего звена управления в строительстве.

Образовательная программа “Радиотехника, электроника и телекоммуникации” направлена на формирование высокообразованной личности, способной к профессиональному росту и мобильности, обладающей ключевыми и профессиональными компетенциями в сфере телекоммуникации, а также способной решать профессиональные задачи инженера в области радиотехники, электроники и телекоммуникации.
